Cross Gear Set

With this product it is possible to achieve the exact same gear ratio as used in Group A racing. In addition to strength and durability characteristics, which are equal to or better than those of standard components, this cross gear set features an optimized step-up ratio. Which, when combined with the final drive set, allows for a choice in final drive ratios to gear the car to suit differing race circuits or choose between maximum acceleration or maximum top speed. Furthermore, the overall feeling of the gearshift mechanism has also been improved. These gears are helical cut and feature an improved synchromesh match to aid with more rapid gear changes. Final Gear Set

Allows final drive ratio choice Increased power handling Direct replacement of standard parts This final drive set is implemented through replacement of the standard counter shaft and ring gear, thus allowing free selection of the final reduction ratio. Furthermore, the counter shaft is a common part with regard to both the 4.643 and 4.857 types, and by combining with a cross gear set, it is possible to achieve a wide variety of maximum speeds and final drive gearing ratios. This allows the car to be geared better to suit different tracks or change the final drive gear for increased acceleration or top speed. Differential Mount Set

Greatly improves driveability Improves chassis 'feel' Direct replacement of standard parts Although few in number, the S2000 does have weak points, and one of these is a soft differential mount. By strictly controlling the position of the differential during power-on and in oversteer situations, it is possible to achieve high stiffness in the diff/suspension units making the car feel tauter and inmprove handling by the car feeling more solid. The diff mounts may also be fitted without making any modifications to the standard mounting positions. Available for: S2000    AP1

Drive Shaft

Direct replacement of standard parts Polished internals Smoothens power transmission The Spoon driveshafts for S2000 are standard Honda units that have been disassembled then reworked and reassembled by Spoon technicians. The reworking involves the polishing of internal components to reduce friction and smooth operation. This smooths the power delivery and improves the drivability of the car. Propeller Shaft

Dynamically balanced Improves chassis feel Reduces transmission power losses The power output from the engine, clutch, and transmission is directed to the differential through the propeller shaft. At Spoon, we carry out the required additional operations to increase the rotation balance of this component from the production level of 1.3 kg/cm2 to a new level of 1.2 kg/cm2, this allows a much smoother and more efficient power transmission (vibration saps power!). Note that this rotation-balance value is adopted as standard for all flywheel and brake-rotor components and although it only looks like a small improvement it offers a considerable improvement in driving feel and power flow. Change Rod

Improves gear selection and feel Restores gear shift quality in older cars Direct replacement By making this modification to the shift linkage, there is a more solid and precise shifting feel. Highly recommended for cars older than 50,000km, as normal use over time will have weakened the metal at the end of the change rod, making shifting feel sloppy and soft. Shift Linkage Bush Kit

Furthermore, in situations where the car has covered over 50,000-60,000 km, the gearshift feel is improved by fitting the linkage bush kit It is recommended that a reinforced gearshift rod be also used to replace the standard part at this time.
